International Day of Persons With Disabilities

I am teaming up with One Place East & Laugh-Able to talk about all things disability to celebrate the International Day of Persons with disabilities 🎉

Hi my name is Isaac and I have disability called limb/pelvic hypo/aplasia which in short means I have no arms and short legs, I also have scoliosis which is the curvature of my spine. Even though I have this disability it hasn’t stopped me from doing what I can’t. Skydiving in Ohio, skiing in Geneva and most recently becoming the president of a outdoor sports club called Wheels and Wheelchairs where rollerbladers push wheelchair users in different places. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it!

I’m Saifur. I have a disability called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bones. My impairment doesn’t doesn’t stop me from living my life to the fullest. I have an IT background and currently work for 3 organisations. I was a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games which was one of the best experiences of my life. I love traveling to different countries, and my last holiday was Brazil earlier this year. No matter what disability you have, don’t let it stop you from living your dream. I go by my motto: Live Your Life to the Fullest!

Getting to know your hosts

Co-host is Kate Lovelock
Kate has had left sided Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy (or Hemi)since birth, diagnosed aged two, affecting her entire left side, most noticeably in her arm and leg. Kate started standup because Glamour magazine told her it was a good thing to improve confidence. That was two years before she actually tried it because they hadn’t done an article on how to stop procrastinating yet. Since then she has done gigs mainly in London and was a You Think You Are Funny”semi-finalist in 2019.
